Recap: Salem Hills Skyhawks vs. Mountain View Bruins

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Salem Hills Skyhawks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged Mountain View out 51-49. The victory was nothing new for Salem Hills as they're now sitting on seven straight.

It was another big night for Brooke Warren, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Sage Carrick was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and six steals.

Salem Hills' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Mountain View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Salem Hills will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Green Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Mountain View will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on La Jolla Country Day at 9:00 a.m. on December 27th. La Jolla Country Day knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Mountain View likes a good challenge.
