Baseball Game Preview: Pulaski County Maroons vs. Danville Admirals

Pulaski County is 1-7 against Danville since March of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Maroons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Admirals at 6:00 p.m. Neither Pulaski County nor Danville posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Pulaski County fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Whitley County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Colonels by a score of 3-2.

Pulaski County got a good showing from Dawson Branscum, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits Branscum has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Chase Farmer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Danville didn't have quite enough to beat Mercer County on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

Danville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DyiRon Moody, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Pulaski County's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Danville, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-7.
