It's playoff time, and Libertyville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They beat the Normal Community Ironmen on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Chase Lockwood spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Libertyville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Schambow, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Libertyville's victory bumped their record up to 36-4. As for Normal Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 36-6.

As of now, neither Libertyville nor the Ironmen have any future games scheduled.
