Football Recap: Serra Catholic Eagles vs. Leechburg Blue Devils        
        
		
             Serra Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They lost  48-27 to the Leechburg Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the  33-15 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2015.
  Quadir Stribling threw for 65 yards and a touchdown.  
 De'Reon Washington was his top target, rushing for 76 yards on only five carries, while also picking up 38 receiving yards.
  Jayden Floyd was nothing short of spectacular for Leechburg: he rushed for 269 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.2 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in  rushing yards. Another player making a difference was  Jake Cummings, who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
 Serra Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Leechburg, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
 Serra Catholic will face off against Monessen at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Monessen has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 177 points over their last three matchups. As for Leechburg, they will welcome Riverview  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
