Volleyball Recap: Jahnvi Dhillon and Aila Reich Secure Win for Pitman

There's no place like home for Pitman, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Downey Knights on Thursday. The Pride haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 23-25, 25-19, 25-15.

Leading Pitman to victory were Aila Reich and Jahnvi Dhillon. Reich had 11 digs and three aces, while Dhillon had 11 digs. That's the most digs Reich has posted over her last five contests. Alyssa Moreno also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Pitman was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Downey only served six.

When it comes to explaining why Downey lost, don't look at Sofia Rosemire. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and two assists. Rosemire is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Pitman's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Downey, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.

Pitman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Modesto on the 23rd. As for Downey, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Enochs on the 23rd.
