New Athens extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Ally Barr. The Yellow Jackets walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lebanon Greyhounds on Thursday with plenty of help from Barr, who had seven digs and two aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant New Athens was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9.

Despite the loss, Lebanon saw an underclassman step up: freshman Brilee Davenport had 16 digs and one assist.

New Athens' victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Lebanon, they dropped their record down to 1-17 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Athens will challenge Marissa/Coulterville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lebanon, they will take on Sandoval at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
