After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ontario, Shelby was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Loudonville Redbirds. Shelby have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Loudonville, too.

Ashley Montgomery and Reece Friend scored both of Shelby's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Shelby's victory bumped their record up to 6-4-2. As for Loudonville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Shelby will take on Lexington at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Loudonville, they will challenge Brooklyn at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Loudonville will be up against Brooklyn's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.58 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
