Basketball Game Preview: Legacy Lightning vs. Longmont Trojans

The Legacy Lightning will face off against the Longmont Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.6 points per game this season.

Legacy is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Horizon just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 71-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lightning have suffered against the Hawks since February 20, 2020.

Legacy's defeat came about despite a quality game from Ari Harpring, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaedon Ward, who posted nine points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Longmont was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past Greeley Central 68-31. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Longmont and bumps their season record up to 11-4. As for Legacy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
