 After a string of seven wins, Trinidad's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They fell just short of the Ignacio Bobcats by a score of  13-11. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Trinidad of the  14-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2023.
  Alan Meraz and  Anthony Sandoval did some serious damage despite the final result:  Meraz  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with a  home run, two  runs,  and a  stolen base, while  Sandoval  went 4-for-5 with four  runs, a  triple,  and a  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jace Rogers, who  went 2-for-5 with four  RBI, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.
 On Ignacio's side,  Gabe Archuleta was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-5.  Wade Dunbar-Berger was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 Trinidad's loss  ended  a  ten-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 8-6. As for Ignacio, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: they beat Trinidad by a score of  16-7 later that day.
