Preview: Central Valley Falcons vs. Willows Honkers
Central Valley is 3-0 against Willows since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Central Valley Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Willows Honkers at 7:00 p.m.
Central Valley struggled with assists on Tuesday (Orland had 1400% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Central Valley took a serious blow against Orland, falling 71-27. Central Valley has struggled against Orland recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Central Valley got a solid performance out of Vincent Vanpal, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds. Kanin Harris was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Willows sidestepped Williams for a 50-47 win. The victory was just what Willows needed coming off of a 60-23 loss in their prior matchup.
Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Willows, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Central Valley strolled past Willows when the teams last played back in January of 2018 by a score of 63-49. Will Central Valley repeat their success, or does Willows have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
