Football Recap: North Florida Christian Takes a Loss

North Florida Christian lost against Valwood back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles received a blow as they fell 37-21 to the Valiants. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, North Florida Christian still got an impressive performance from Tommy Coyne, who threw for 186 yards and two TDs on only 13 passes.

Kamari Jackson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 164 yards and a pair of touchdowns for Valwood. Those 164 rushing yards gave Jackson a new career-high. Tayt Snellgrove was another key player, rushing for 29 yards and one score.

North Florida Christian now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Valwood, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

North Florida Christian and Valwood will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Jefferson County at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Valwood, their break will end when they face Tiftarea Academy at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
