League recap: Thrasher rises in rankings with win

Thrasher made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,101 from 13,586. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 35-6 victory over Houlka last week.

Falkner's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jase Stroupe threw for 105 and 3 touchdowns and Chris Blackmon had 86 yards receiving. On the ground Jeramie Lawrence chipped in 165 yards. Richard Green helped Falkner's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 18 yards.

The Eagles' dynamic duo of Stroupe and Blackmon proved to be unstoppable against Coldwater, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Green helped Falkner's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 18 yards.

He went 6-8 with 0 interceptions.

Logan Willbanks was a key player and the best on defense this week as Falkner bested the Cougars. The 5-foot-8 junior grabbed 1 sack.

Leading 1A Region 1 in both passing and receiving yards, Biggersville's Caleb Kitchens and Darian Barnett have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-8 quarterback Kitchens has thrown for 1,341 yards this season, while Barnett has 32 catches for 720 yards. Lawrence from Cory Armstrong's team leads the league in rushing with 954 yards.

Lawrence of the the Eagles is just 46 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 109 carries Lawrence has accumulated 954 yard this year.

The Seminoles are in first place, while Falkner is in third place.

The Eagles led the league in scoring this week by notching 59 points on Coldwater. Stroupe ran for 152 yards during the win.
