Basketball Recap: Vanguard Academy Mozart Comes Up Short

Vanguard Academy Mozart lost against Vanguard Academy Beethoven back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Vanguard Academy Mozart lost to Vanguard Academy Beethoven at home by a 51-35 margin. Vanguard Academy Mozart has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vanguard Academy Beethoven to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabriel Prudente, who posted nine points and five steals. Prudente is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Anderson, who put up 11 points.

Vanguard Academy Mozart's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Vanguard Academy Beethoven, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vanguard Academy Mozart will welcome IDEA Quest College Prep at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. As for Vanguard Academy Beethoven, they will be playing at home against Monte Alto at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Monte Alto is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.2 points per game this season.
