Baseball Game Preview: Clay County Bulldogs vs. Macon County Tigers

Clay County hasn't had much luck against Macon County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Macon County took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Clay County, who comes in off a win.

Clay County was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Trousdale County, sneaking past 6-4.

Aiden Keen was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Macon County came up short against White House on Wednesday and fell 11-7. The Tigers have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Eli Carver was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Macon County's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Clay County, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Clay County suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Macon County in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
