Baseball Game Preview: Tidewater Academy Warriors vs. Amelia Academy Patriots

The Tidewater Academy Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Amelia Academy Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tidewater Academy is looking for their season's first victory.

Tidewater Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot on Thursday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 21-1.

Meanwhile, Amelia Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Brunswick Academy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1. The Patriots have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Amelia Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaivin Dowell, who went 3-for-4 with one double. That double was Dowell's first of the season.

Amelia Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Tidewater Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Tidewater Academy might still be hurting after the 15-3 loss they got from Amelia Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Can Tidewater Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
