Nate Hilsabeck gave up the fewest hits he has since back in May of 2024 on Saturday. Nobody could stop him as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lafayette Jefferson is 7-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 8-9 otherwise.

Hilsabeck's strong effort led Lafayette Jefferson over Marion and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
