Volleyball Recap: Columbus East Comes Up Short

Columbus East lost against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard back in August of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Olympians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21.

Anika Jenkins paced Columbus East's offense, picking up six kills. Jenkins got some help from Payten Osborn and her nine assists. Osborn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Columbus East's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Columbus East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Seymour on the 26th. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory on the 25th.
