Volleyball Recap: Columbus East Comes Up Short

Columbus East lost against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard back in August of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Olympians fell 2-0 to the Trojans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21.

Anika Jenkins paced Columbus East's offense, picking up six kills. Jenkins got some help from Payten Osborn and her nine assists. Osborn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Columbus East's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Columbus East and Indianapolis Bishop Chatard will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Olympians are set to square off against their familiar foe Seymour at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard will challenge rival Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
