Westlake is 10-0 against Newbury Park since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Westlake Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Newbury Park Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Westlake will be strutting in after a victory while Newbury Park will be coming in after a defeat.

Westlake took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Thousand Oaks by a score of 57-46. The win was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Newbury Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They had to suffer through a 89-49 loss at the hands of Calabasas. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 680th, while the Coyotes are ranked 231st).

Westlake pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Newbury Park, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

Everything came up roses for Westlake against Newbury Park in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 79-36 win. Does Westlake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Newbury Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
