Baseball Recap: South Dearborn Has No Trouble Against Switzerland County

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Batesville, South Dearborn was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Switzerland County Pacers as they made off with an 11-5 victory. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Pacers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Tyeler Gulden made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over 4.2 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jackson Johnson and Conor Huff did most of the damage at the plate: Johnson went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, while Huff went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Huff has posted since May 1st.

The victory got South Dearborn back to even at 11-11. As for Switzerland County, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-11.

South Dearborn will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pacers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
