Softball Recap: Cold Springs Takes a Loss

Cold Springs fell victim to Sumiton Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 16-0 to Sumiton Christian. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Sumiton Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 back in March.

Cold Springs dropped their record down to 10-17-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Sumiton Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-16 record this season.

Cold Springs will square off against Cleveland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sumiton Christian, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-0 defeat against Hewitt-Trussville on the 18th.
