Softball Recap: Hunter Takes a Loss

Hunter lost against Herriman back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolverines lost 18-1 to the Mustangs. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hunter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LOIANA IONGI, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Hunter's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Herriman, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Hunter is taking a road trip to face off against Taylorsville at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Herriman, they will square off against Corner Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
