North Quincy hasn't had much luck against Hanover recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The North Quincy Raiders will take on the Hanover Hawks at 7:00 p.m. North Quincy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 29.1 points per game this season.

North Quincy is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Scituate on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. North Quincy had to suffer through a 56-20 loss at the hands of Scituate. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Sailors are ranked fifth).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Marques Rodrigues-Smith, who picked up 176 receiving yards and two touchdowns. North Quincy is undefeated when Rodrigues-Smith posts 80 or more receiving yards, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Galligan, who threw for 329 yards and three touchdowns.

North Quincy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Hanover, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

North Quincy was taken down by Hanover 42-13 in their previous matchup back in October of 2023. Thankfully for North Quincy, Ben Scalzi (who threw for 155 yards and four touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
