Basketball Recap: Mt. Carmel Takes a Loss

Mt. Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Christian Patriots 86-56. The Sundevils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in December of 2022.

Mt. Carmel lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jaylon Boyd, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Hourani, who put up 11 points.

Mt. Carmel's record is now 1-7. As for Christian, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Otay Ranch the next time they take the court. Christian will head out to face Otay Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Mt. Carmel will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
