Softball Game Preview: Roxborough Wolves vs. West Philadelphia Speedboys

The Roxborough Wolves will head out to face off against the West Philadelphia Speedboys at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. West Philadelphia took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Roxborough, who comes in off a win.

Roxborough took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Martin Luther King 15-5. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, West Philadelphia came up short against Overbrook on Monday, falling 15-4. The Speedboys have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

The win got Roxborough back to even at 3-3. As for West Philadelphia, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.

Roxborough might still be hurting after the 20-1 loss they got from West Philadelphia when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
