Basketball Recap: West Rutland Extends Winning Streak to Eight

West Rutland entered their tilt with Leland & Gray on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They strolled past the Leland & Gray Rebels with points to spare, taking the game 72-53. Given the Golden Horde's advantage in MaxPreps' Vermont basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Rebels are ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Rutland's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for Leland & Gray, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
