Volleyball Recap: Milpitas Comes Up Short

After flying high against Eastside College Prep on Wednesday, Milpitas came back down to earth. The Trojans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cupertino Pioneers on Thursday.

While Milpitas had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 25-20.

Milpitas' loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Cupertino, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-14.

Coming up, Milpitas will be playing at home against King's Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Cupertino, they will venture away from home to take on Harker at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
