Volleyball Recap: Abbeville Christian Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Abbeville Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lakeside School on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Generals fell just short of the Hooper Academy Colts by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Generals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Colts earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Abbeville Christian Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 20-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-10.

Amari George paced Abbeville Christian Academy's offense, picking up 19 kills. George got some help from Hope Kennedy and her 51 assists. Kelsey McClure controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

With the loss, Abbeville Christian Academy broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 15-3. As for Hooper Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Abbeville Christian Academy is taking a road trip to challenge Trinity Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hooper Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
