Volleyball Recap: Eureka Extends Winning Streak to Three

Eureka waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Parkway West Longhorns by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Eureka had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-11, 25-16, 25-20.

Sutton Reed paced Eureka's offense, picking up 21 kills. Reed got some help from Jett Wilken and his 51 assists. Wilken was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Eureka's win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Eureka has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Christian Brothers on the 2nd. As for Parkway West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Westminster Christian on the 1st.
