Football Game Preview: Skyview Wolverines vs. Evergreen Cougars + How To Watch

Skyview hasn't had much luck against Evergreen recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wolverines will square off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m.

Skyview's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Conifer on Friday. They had to suffer through a 56-0 loss at the hands of the Lobos. The game marked the first time this season in which the Wolverines were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Evergreen never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Summit 58-0. The matchup marked the Cougars' most dominant victory of the season.

Skyview better keep an eye on Tom Van Den Bos. He was instrumental in Evergreen's win, throwing for 209 yards and four TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also punching in one rushing score. Those 209 passing yards gave Van Den Bos a new career-high. Avery Zouski was another key player, throwing for 75 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Evergreen didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Aiden Hardgrove.

The win made it two in a row for Evergreen and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.0 points over those games. As for Skyview, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Skyview was dealt a bruising 62-0 defeat at the hands of Evergreen when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
