Baseball Game Preview: Dibble Demons vs. Luther Lions

For the second straight game, Dibble will face off against Luther. The Demons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Dibble has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Dibble gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Luther 4-2.

Trey Ott made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Ott wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Blake Creswell, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles Creswell has posted since back in March.

Dibble has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Luther, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-12.
