Volleyball Recap: Mechanicsburg Comes Up Short

Mechanicsburg came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the West Liberty-Salem Tigers, falling 3-0. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Despite the loss, Mechanicsburg still got an impressive performance from Kenzie Stillings, who had 14 digs and two assists. Stillings has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last four times she's played. Lily Sorensen also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Mechanicsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for West Liberty-Salem, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mechanicsburg will take on rival Triad at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Liberty-Salem is set to face off against their familiar foe West Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
