The Decatur Eagles will challenge the Castleberry Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Decatur took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 62-6 win over Southwest. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Raiders are ranked 795th).

Jamari Fletcher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 109 yards and three touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Decatur also got help from Chase Berg, who showed off his sure hands for 128 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Decatur was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 271 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Decatur's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. Wesley Morton was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 13 total tackles.
Castleberry never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Life Waxahachie on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-13 victory over the Mustangs.
Castleberry's win came from a few key players Decatur will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Isaiah Ford, who rushed for 219 yards and three scores while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also caught one TD. Castleberry is 4-1 when Ford posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Bryan Ceniceros, who picked up 172 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Decatur's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points over those games. As for Castleberry, their record is now 6-4.
Thursday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Decatur has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 227.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Castleberry struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 223.7 rushing yards.
