Two dominant backs in Ryan Corum and Chase Wyhlidko are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Yuba City Honkers will face off against the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Yuba City put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They and Placer were almost perfectly matched up, but the Honkers suffered a 49-48 defeat. The loss continues a trend for the Honkers in their meetings with the Hillmen: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the defeat, Yuba City got top-tier performance from Cody Haase, who rushed for 151 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also caught one TD. The Honkers also got help from Dante Lepe, who showed off his sure hands for 101 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Twelve Bridges strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 44-34 victory over Roseville. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Raging Rhinos were the better team in the second half.
Twelve Bridges' win came from a few key players Yuba City will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Will Gant, who picked up 60 receiving yards and one score, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Connor Frontiera, who threw for 214 yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Twelve Bridges was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 299 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roseville only rushed for 104.
Yuba City's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Twelve Bridges, their record is now 8-0.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Yuba City has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 214.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Twelve Bridges struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 302.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Yuba City took a serious blow against Twelve Bridges in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 56-0. Thankfully for the Honkers, Braeden Ward (who rushed for 165 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 9.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 86 receiving yards and one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
