Recap: Jeffersonville Red Devils vs. Floyd Central Highlanders
The Jeffersonville Red Devils's four-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They walked away with a 45-32 victory over Floyd Central. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Jeffersonville also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Lakyra Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds. The matchup was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Laqaya Gold, who scored 8 points.
Jeffersonville's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Floyd Central, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Columbus East the next time they take the court. Floyd Central will head out to face Columbus East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Jeffersonville will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
