The King Philip Regional Warriors will square off against the Hopkinton Hillers at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday. King Philip Regional will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
King Philip Regional had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Sharon on Wednesday. The Warriors blew past the Eagles 12-5.
 Cam Hasenfus looked comfortable as he  struck out seven batters over  2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and only one walk).
 On the hitting side,  Tommy Gately was  incredible,  going 4-for-5 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kevin Heine, who  went 1-for-4 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run.
Meanwhile, Hopkinton narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Dedham  9-8. The Hillers haven't had any issues with the Marauders recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.
 Michael Sullivan made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. Sullivan was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with four  RBI, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Nick Pedroli, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Mitch Simulis, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-4.
 Hopkinton's victory was  their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 2-1. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for King Philip Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
