Basketball Recap: Springfield Township Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Springfield Township Spartans took a blow against the Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds, falling 74-41. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the Firebirds are ranked 132nd).

Springfield Township has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Holy Ghost Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Springfield Township nor Holy Ghost Prep have any future games scheduled.
