Football Recap: Bermudian Springs Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Bermudian Springs had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the New Oxford Colonials and fell 48-7. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Colonials are ranked 93rd).

Lane Hubbard threw for 46 yards on six of 11 attempts.

Luke Frey was a one-man wrecking crew For New Oxford. as he threw for 167 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 35 yards and one score. Those 35 rushing yards gave Frey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kamden Lamke, who rushed for 71 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bermudian Springs will head out to challenge York Suburban at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Oxford, they will venture away from home to take on Cocalico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
