Basketball Game Preview: Rise Kohyang Tritons vs. Smidt Tech Grey Wolves

Rise Kohyang is 2-8 against Smidt Tech since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rise Kohyang Tritons are taking a road trip to square off against the Smidt Tech Grey Wolves at 3:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Rise Kohyang is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 55 points on Thursday, they were much more limited against Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus on Friday. They took a blow against the Tigers, falling 62-25.

Meanwhile, Smidt Tech was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 58-52 to Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus.

Smidt Tech's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Rise Kohyang, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Everything came up roses for Rise Kohyang against Smidt Tech when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 71-24 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rise Kohyang since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
