Basketball Recap: Las Vegas Wildcats vs. Spring Valley Grizzlies
Las Vegas easily dispatched Sports Leadership & Management last Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Las Vegas Wildcats fell just short of the Spring Valley Grizzlies by a score of 50-48 on Wednesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jakhai Jones, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Jones a new career-high in boards. As for Spring Valley, they will square off against Desert Pines at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Desert Pines knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Spring Valley likes a good challenge.
