Basketball Recap: Dominic Clark's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Veritas Academy over Brazos Christian

Veritas Academy suffered their closest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Brazos Christian Eagles by a score of 52-49. Veritas Academy has struggled against Brazos Christian recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Veritas Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dominic Clark, who posted nine points and four steals. Those four steals gave Clark a new career-high. Perry Kinane was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Veritas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Brazos Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Texas School for the Deaf the next time they take the court. Brazos Christian will head out to face Texas School for the Deaf at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Veritas Academy will host them at 7:45 p.m. on February 11th.
