Softball Recap: Lincoln Extends Road Winning Streak to 13

Lincoln faced West Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Trojans 9-7. Nine seems to be a good number for the Patriots as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Lincoln's victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 14.2 runs this season. As for West Central, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-3.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will take on Aberdeen Central on Friday. As for West Central, they will square off against Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
