Softball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central's last matchup with Brawley could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Spartans lost 22-2 to the Wildcats. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Taysha Campbell was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Brawley, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Calexico at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Brawley will take on rival Holtville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
