Baseball Recap: Northridge Comes Up Short

Northridge made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lake Central, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Raiders fell just short of the Indians by a score of 8-6 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Brecken Gawthrop made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Preston Ryan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Lake Central, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-4.

Northridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 defeat against Crown Point on the 24th. As for Lake Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 9-2 victory against NorthWood on the 24th.
