The Hayfield Vikings will square off against the Randolph Rockets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Randolph took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hayfield, who comes in off a win.
Hayfield headed into their last contest having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Kenyon-Wanamingo let them put that streak behind them. The Vikings put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 12-4 victory on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ella Bamlet made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kenna Rutledge, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025. Kalei Tank was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.
Hayfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Randolph entered their game against Dover-Eyota on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rockets fell 7-4 to the Eagles.
Kenzie Murray made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Gillette, who went 3-for-4 with one double.
Hayfield's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Randolph, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
