Softball Game Preview: Fort Bragg Timberwolves vs. Santa Rosa Panthers

Fort Bragg has gone a perfect 4-0 against Santa Rosa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Fort Bragg Timberwolves will head out on the road to challenge the Santa Rosa Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Fort Bragg will be strutting in after a win while Santa Rosa will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Wednesday, Fort Bragg got the win against Point Arena by a conclusive 20-6.

Hailey Ross and Autumn Baxman did most of the damage at the plate: Ross scored three runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances, while Baxman scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave Baxman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sierra Thompson, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Santa Rosa's offense. They lost 17-0 to Petaluma on Thursday. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Everything went Fort Bragg's way against Santa Rosa in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Fort Bragg made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Bragg since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
