Basketball Recap: Long Beach Poly Takes a Loss

Long Beach Poly had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 51-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roosevelt Mustangs on Friday. The Jackrabbits were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2015.

The win (which was Roosevelt's 14th in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Coming up, Long Beach Poly will challenge Foshay at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Jackrabbits' defense better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 75.5 points per game this season. As for Roosevelt, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Rancho Cucamonga at 7:10 p.m. on Saturday.
