Baseball Recap: Metrolina Christian Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to 14

Metrolina Christian Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Legion Collegiate Academy. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Lancers 2-0. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Warriors have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Sully Mellor tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, Landon Nichols was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.
