Volleyball Game Preview: Niwot Cougars vs. Grandview Wolves

The Niwot Cougars will face off against the Grandview Wolves at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Niwot heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Littleton Public Schools. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Grandview faced Legacy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wolves fell just short of the Lightning by a score of 3-2. Like the Cougars, the Wolves also had to let a streak go: they had won three straight, but that streak is no more.

Grandview was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Legacy work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 20-25, 22-25, 26-24, 15-8.

Niwot's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Grandview, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-7.
