Platt RVT might have lost, but man, Caleb Brickhouse was a machine: he rushed for 186 yards and three TDs. Brickhouse's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 155 rushing yards.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilcox Tech/Kaynor RVT). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Prince RVT 44-8. The victory was nothing new for Wilcox Tech/Kaynor RVT as they're now sitting on three straight.
Wilcox Tech/Kaynor RVT's win came from a few key players Platt RVT will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Alexis Ortiz, who rushed for 137 yards and one score on only five carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Stone, who rushed for 23 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wilcox Tech/Kaynor RVT was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 328 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive contests.
Platt RVT's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Wilcox Tech/Kaynor RVT, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Saturday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Platt RVT has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 303.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Wilcox Tech/Kaynor RVT struggles in that department as they've been averaging 261.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
