Recap: Riverview Sharks vs. Durant Cougars
If the Riverview Sharks were feeling good off their 60-38 takedown of the Middleton Tigers last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Riverview took a serious blow against Durant on Friday, falling 76-46. Riverview has struggled against Durant recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Durant's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Bokor, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Wylde Correa, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Riverview's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Durant, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Riverview will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Newsome at 8:00 p.m. Newsome has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Durant won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bloomingdale at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th.
